Israel and Palestine are collectively working on ceasefire negotiations to end the 15 month long ongoing conflict. The war resulted in a serious humanitarian crisis with almost 50 thousand Palestine people losing their lives and around millions losing homes and suffering. The world health organisation already appealed to countries to make efforts for a ceasefire in Palestine as the conditions were inadequate for living. The children in Gaza were dying from hunger as there was insufficient aid in Gaza along with no way for drinking clean water.
Three phase agreement:
Both Israel and Palestine agreed on a three phase agreement and according to official reports each agreement will approximately last six months. In the first phase of agreement 33 hostages of Israel will be released from prisons of Palestine which includes women, children and old people. According to reports in return , hundreds of Palestinian people will be released from prisons in Israel.
Donald trump meeting with Israeli president:
Earlier Donald Trump met the Israeli president in which they discussed that the aid in Palestine is insufficient and the hunger like situation is increasing in Gaza through which both decided to increase aid in Gaza on which the president of Israel agreed. The Israeli president demanded release of hostages as a condition for a ceasefire agreement between the two.
Aid in Gaza:
The aid in Gaza is sufficient with almost 600 trucks entering Gaza daily to provide basic necessities for living. The truck will include food, shelter and medicine for people of Palestine. Earlier the world health organisation in a briefing clearly emphasized that the aid in Gaza is insufficient for people of Palestine and there are chances of malnourishment in children of Gaza. Beside this the people of Palestine will be allowed to return to their homes in Northern Gaza as an agreement of ceasefire between Palestinian and Israelis. On the other side unarmed civilians will be allowed to settle on the seventh day of ceasefire after which they can move to their homes in Northern Gaza.
Medical treatment and more:
The aid trucks in Gaza include medicine and more beside this the wounded Palestine’s are allowed to cross the border and move to Egypt for treatment under strict laws and actions. The situation will be monitored by the soldiers of Israel and Palestine.
Phases of the agreement between Palestine and Israel:
Under the first phase of the war 33 Israeli hostages will be released from prisons of Palestine. The first phase also consists of agreements like an increase of aid in Gaza which includes medicine, food and basic living things. In the second phase of agreement, an announcement of a complete ceasefire will be made and all military operations will be terminated. Beside this, the remaining male hostages of Israel will be released. The second phase includes the complete withdrawal of soldiers of Israel from Gaza strip. In addition to this the remaining Palestinians civilians will also be released from jails of Israel. The third phase of agreement includes the reconstruction of homes in Gaza where most commonly the north Gaza strip is affected due to war conditions. In the last phase of agreement dead bodies and remaining hostages will be exchanged and a final announcement of complete ceasefire between the two will be made.
Role of US in resolving conflict:
The United States pressured both sides for immediate ceasefire as the living conditions in Gaza were becoming inadequate. In addition to the president of the US , Donald Trump played a huge role in resolving conflict between both sides. The role of America in every global matter is concerning as many countries like China don’t like the involvement of the US in every global matter. Earlier Donald trump met the president of Israel where the president of Israel briefed him about the war conditions in Palestine and as a result of it Donald trump pressured both sides for peace and to end the conflict.
Involvement of Qatar and Egypt:
The ceasefire agreement is brokered by the involvement of the United States of America, Qatar and Egypt. Qatar emphasized that the ending of war is crucial for peace and for regional stability. Both sides agreed on a ceasefire after many failed dialogues and previous agreements. People of Gaza show uncertainty on the decision as last time the ceasefire act was broken by Israel.
