According to media reports, a third person in America is affected by the bird flu virus. A third person of bird flu has been identified in America with symptoms of cough , redness in eyes , throat pain and difficulty in breathing. After testing it’s confirmed that the person got the bird flu virus. According to health care professionals, bird flu spreads through infected animals, especially dairy cows and wild birds.
The third case of bird flu is different from the previous ones where the only symptoms were redness in eyes. All three patients got viruses from infected cows in dairy farms.
Bird flu in humans
According to reports, bird flu has symptoms like redness in eyes , cough, difficulty in breathing and fever in patients with mild virus. While in extreme cases it can even lead to death. Symptoms like pneumonia and vomiting are severe symptoms of bird flu and patients with these symptoms need special care otherwise if these symptoms get more worse it can lead to death.
Bird flu spreads through close contact with infected birds or cows. It can enter the body through the nose and can infect people.
Last year almost 12,000 birds got infected from the virus and also a large number of cows got infected from the virus. The first case of bird flu in a person was reported in April after that two more patients got infected from bird flu.
The H5N1 variant of HPAI ( virus commonly infecting birds and dairy animals) is detected in birds of the US and also in some areas of Germany and Turkey. According to health care, the professional situation is in control and there is no risk of wild spread of bird flu but people should adopt precautionary measures.
Preventions
●Always wear gloves and masks while touching animals, especially cows.
●If you have symptoms of cough, redness in eyes and difficulty while breathing and you have recently been in contact with a bird or dairy animal consult with your nearby doctor.
●Avoid eating meat of animals affected with bird flu as you can get infected through this.
●Also avoid drinking milk of infected animals
●Always wash your hands with warm water after being in contact with an animal.

Bird flu is spread in almost 20 countries with nearly 700 people getting infected with bird flu from these countries. According to WHO ( WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION) almost 500 people died from bird flu in past years. According to reports 13 thousand birds are infected from bird flu with more than 1 lakh poultry foams infected.
