Brief history: Rachael Gupta won the Miss Grand international 2024 title in October. She won the golden crown in Indian history as she was representing India. But now she has decided to step down as Miss Grand International 2024.
Shocking statement: Rachael Gupta on her YouTube video explained to her fans why she stepped down as miss grand international. She said countries bought votes so that their representative girl won the title. The only reason she won was public support and her dedication.
She claimed following things:
● She was getting harassed by representatives.
● She was getting body shamed continuously by the MGI authority.
● There was no food in the house she was living in Thailand.
Rachael on a video said her mom even messaged the representatives of MGI to provide me basic things but they ignored . She said i used to eat junk food for so many days and even if i tried to order food the restaurants were two hours away from the house i was in so the rider ended up cancelling my order.
“ I use to sell cheap products of MGI online on tiktok and even if i don’t want to i can’t say No” They were not even providing me with a yoga mat and food. She said I was living in a miserable condition after winning the golden crown and now it’s affecting my mental health so I decided to step down from Miss Grand International. Rachael Gupta also won Miss super talent while representing India in 2022.
Past History: Miss grand Myanmar returned her crown and said Thailand wasn’t a safe place to be in .
Miss Grand international:
Miss Grand international responded to Rachael Gupta remarks and said they terminated her because she failed to fulfill her duties. According to Miss Grand International Rachael Gupta refused to go on a scheduled trip which was in Guatemala and therefore it was difficult to work with her so they terminated her.
The notice was issued on 28 May 2025 and the organisation requested Rachael Gupta to return the crown within 30 days and if she fails to do so legal action will be taken against her. MGI also responded to allegations and called them fake.
According to them:
● MGI products aren’t fake and they are getting sold all over Thailand.
● MGI doesn’t pay if the queen does not live in Thailand. Rachael Gupta lived only one month in Thailand after winning the crown and MGI has no history of pending payments with clients.
●There was no toxic environment and she was living in a good condition in house and they provided her food
Rachael Gupta claimed she had no access to a phone so therefore she had to buy her own so that she can contact her family and friends. The MGI organisation called these accusations false. Rachel Gupta also claimed body shaming and their representative harassing her but MGI called this fake propaganda because of her termination from Miss Grand International .

Now Christine Juliane Opiaza is announced as Miss Grand International 2024 after Rachel Gupta’s termination. Juliane Opiaza is from the Philippines.
President of MGI Nawat Itsaragrisil claimed they terminated Rachel Gupta first and after that she started fake propaganda against the organisation on social media.
